Successful PhD defence at our lab
Congratulations to Afua van Haasteren, our first doctorate student to successfully defend her thesis
by
Anina Eglin

Last Friday, 8th November, Afua successfully defended her PhD thesis which focused on understanding the determinants for trust in digital health technologies.
She has attempted to know who the stakeholders are when it comes to trust as well as what matters to them – essentially, what features and characteristics do these technologies need to have to engender trust.
Afua employed both empirical (qualitative and quantitative) and theoretical methods to understand the topic.
Digital health is described as: telehealth, precision medicine, mHealth, health IT and wearable devices.
