Translational Research Internships 2022
This spring, the Health Ethics and Policy Lab offered five Translational Research Internships for students enrolled in the Bachelor of Human Medicine. During their six-weeks internships, the interns were involved in and contributed to research projects led by our researchers.
In addition to gaining first insights into bioethics and translational research, the interns took part in the regular activities of the Lab, led Intern Journal Clubs, and participated in events organized by the Lab for the scientific community and broader public. The feedback from both the interns and the researchers indicates that these internships were a positive and fruitful experience for all parties involved.
The Translational Research Internship is the final step for bachelor students in Human Medicine at ETH Zurich before they transfer to pursue their master’s degrees at a partner university. Through this internship, students gain insights into the transfer “from bench to bedside” – the translation of research findings into clinical application – and prepare for their master theses.
