A warm welcome to Dr Izen Ri!
Izen Ri is a visiting researcher at our Lab from August to December 2023. She holds a PhD from the Graduate School of Interdisciplinary Information Studies, The University of Tokyo, Japan. She has been an assistant professor at the Department of Public Policy, The Institute of Medical Science, The University of Tokyo since 2021.
Her background is in medical sociology and bioethics. Her main interests include patient and family communication related to various kinds of medicine and research, the impact on our society of advances in genome analysis, and ethical issues in research development of early prediction and preventive interventions. Currently, she investigates ethical challenges in collecting, using and sharing children’s healthcare data.
