As the doors opened for the final day of the workshop, Day 3 brought a culmination of discussions surrounding data governance, global regulatory approaches to AI, and the equitable distribution of its benefits in the healthcare domain.
The morning began with Timo Minssen who discussed the regulation of medical AI in Europe, highlighting key issues and future directions. Eva von Mühlenen then compared Switzerland and the USA's AI regulatory models. Followingly, Andreas Reis explored the equitable distribution of benefits from Large Language Models, while Eric Sutherland provided OECD perspectives on AI in health.
We concluded the day with a moderated pannel discussion on a case study about how tools can promote AI trustworthiness in health. Emphasis was given to the ethical considerations, technical solutions, governance gaps, and collaboration between stakeholders.
