Upcoming Courses for Spring 2025 Semester
As the days slowly lengthen and the mountain snow begins to melt, we at the Health Ethics and Policy Lab are excited to welcome students back for the Spring 2025 semester.

This Spring 2025, our group are offering a variety of courses for ETH students to dive deeper into the topics of health, ethics, and policy.
Spring 2025 Courses
- Climate, Ethics and Human Health (376-1663-00L)
Explores climate change and environmental ethics in relation to human health. Topics include climate, weather, and environmental biotechnology's relationship to issues like antibiotic resistance, vector-borne diseases, and unhealthy landscapes, all influenced by climate change and social disparities. Public policy issues in the face of climate-related health challenges are also covered.
- Colloquium in Translational Science (376-0304-00L)
Current topics in translational medicine presented by speakers from academia and industry.
- Ethics Workshop: The Impact of Digital Life on Society (851-0745-00L)
This workshop focuses on understanding and managing the ethical and social issues arising from the integration of new technologies in various aspects of daily life.
- Ethics in Medicine and Health Care (377-0405-10L)
This module is intended to enable students to recognize and analyze ethically controversial situations in everyday medical practice and in biomedical research.
- Human-Centered AI for Social Good: Peace, Health, Climate (Number 851-0691-00L)
This is an interdisciplinary course at the intersection of computer science, peace and security, global health, and climate science. Students will implement practical projects that involve the application of their skills on public data to address global challenges. In addition, students will critically engage with the ethical, social, and political implications of using AI for global challenges.

Our events
