Upcoming 2025 SNFBA Program: Ethics in Neuroscience and Research Training
Supporting and enhancing bioethics knowledge and awareness in Greece.

In collaboration with the external page Johns Hopkins Berman Institute of Bioethics (JHU) and with support from the external page Stavros Niarchos Foundation, we are excited to announce the 2025 Stavros Niarchos Foundation Bioethics Academy (SNFBA) program. This initiative, which began in 2019, fosters and enhances bioethics knowledge and awareness in Greece through educational workshops and trainings, alongside an active Alumni Network.
April 2025 will see the SNFBA deliver two key courses:

Ethics in Neuroscience: Advanced Course
April 7-8, 2025 (sold out)
Directed towards researchers, academics, and professionals interested in the ethical implications of neuroscience, this course aims to explore and discuss ethical dilemmas arising from advancements in neurotechnology, cognitive enhancement, and related fields. The program features distinguished faculty from ETH Zurich and Johns Hopkins Berman Institute of Bioethics and offers a highly interactive learning experience through expert-led lectures, case study discussions, and participant presentations. Confirmed speakers are Effy Vayena, Jeffrey Kahn, and Marcello Ienca.
The Annual Train the Trainer Program
April 10-11, 2025 (registrations open)
This two-day workshop on Ethics and Research will be offered for university and medical school faculty, academic professionals, and lab heads. This program provides practical resources to integrate bioethics into education, training, and leadership. The workshop is free, with limited seats available.
