Health DARES: Navigating Ethics in Health AI - Day 1 recap

Today marked the kickoff of our three-day course on the ethical and regulatory hurdles in health AI, and it was nothing short of enlightening!

In a packed first day, we dived deep into the ethical challenges of big data and AI in healthcare. Prof. Dr. Effy Vayena kicked-off the morning by describing the foundations of the health data ecosystem. Katrin Crameri then shared a more concrete local perspective with a presentation on the Swiss Personalized Health Network's objectives and challenges.

Agata Ferretti and Constantin Landers explored digital health innovation, setting the stage for talks on responsible tech advancement. Andreas Krause from ETH AI Center simplified AI concepts, while Menna El-Assady discussed the impact of biased datasets.

The day concluded with a panel discussion on AI applications moderated by Prof. Dr. Effy Vayena. Thanks to Simone Schürle-Finke, Julien Durand, Luca Baldassare, and Alessandro Curioni for shedding light on ethical AI in healthcare.
